Best Broadway Musicals Discussed

1 West Side Story - A Retelling the story of Romeo and Juliet in the context of race from New York band of war. All of the music are consistently good and inspired - some are full of passion (Tonight, Mary, One Hand, One Heart, somewhere), some are fictional (America, Tonight Quintet), and some funny (Gee, Officer Krupke, I Feel Pretty). If you dance, it is one of the most unforgettable!
2. My Fair Lady - This funny, funny, sexy is a very classical music defined a generation (early 60s). Sale story of a flower girl, an English teacher learned to speak English properly, until he could for him the word like a princess in a ball. Of great music “I have danced All Night”, “On the road where you live.” Other sexy music, Rex Harrison sings a half and half board recites include “Why can not the English”, “A Hymn to Him” and “I’m accustomed to his face.”
3. Jesus Christ Superstar - The once controversial rock on the last days of Jesus actually contains music in a variety of genres. It is mostly Rock, of course, but there is also Pop (I do not know how to love) classical (John 1941) Charleston (King Herod’s Song) and Opera (The Last Supper)! My other favorites are “Gethsemane” and “Everything’s Alright.” A feast for the ears!
4. The Music Man (Meredith Wilson) - Check in Iowa, the story of a man, with the sale of music, but was caught because his love for Marian the librarian. Each issue is a pleasure - the opening of “The Traveling Salesman” to “Goodnight My someone” on “Ya Got Trouble” and “Seventy Six Trombones.” Similarly, the picturesque “Lida Rose”, sung by a quartet of sexy Barbershop. And, of course, “Till There was You” is as good, even the Beatles do it!
5. Chicago - The Musical Kander and Ebb cynical in the 1920’s is a satire on how society turns criminals to celebrities. Each song is a number of varieties, and two songs are my anthem, “Razzle Dazzle” (if you have nothing significant, Razzle Dazzle ‘em) and “All That Jazz”. He was famous for the film adaptation of winning photo in 2002.
